Rep Community Etiquette: How to Fit In and Get Help

The rep community is vast, knowledgeable, and surprisingly welcoming — if you approach it correctly. Thousands of experienced buyers share QC photos, haul reviews, and seller recommendations daily. But like any community, there are norms. Violating them gets your posts ignored or deleted. Following them gets you instant help from people who have been in your shoes.

The #1 mistake newbies make is posting a photo with just 'W2C?' and no context. Instead, include: the photo, what you have already tried (image search, spreadsheet lookup), your budget, and your size. Example: 'W2C this Acne Studios hoodie. Tried AstroReps image search and OopBuy Spreadsheet but no matches. Budget $50-70. Need size L.' This gets answers in minutes instead of being ignored.

When you post QC photos for feedback, use the correct format: [QC] Item Name + Batch + Size + Price. Upload clear photos (not screenshots of screenshots). Include your specific concerns: 'Is the swoosh too high?' or 'Does the color look off?' Vague posts like 'GL or RL?' without context get generic answers that may not help you.

After you receive your items, write a haul review. Include: what you bought, from which seller/batch, the price, shipping details, and your honest assessment. Use fit pics when possible — they are incredibly helpful for sizing references. Haul reviews are the backbone of the community. Without them, the spreadsheet and guides would not exist.

Do not gatekeep. If someone helped you find a seller, share that knowledge when asked. Do not trash budget reps — not everyone has $100 per item. Do not sell reps as retail. Do not spam links. And always remember: the people answering your questions are doing it for free, out of passion. A simple 'thank you' goes a long way.
